Myra Canyon (abandoned 1978)
mmmm
The Star Weekly (Canadian Magazine) of Spring 1979 had an article of one of the last motor car trips over this route.
Parts of Pierre Burton's epic "The National Dream" were filmed here in 1981?.
This was a beautiful and safe hiking and biking trail, high above Kelowna. Most trestles burned down in the wildfire of 2003 but have since been rebuilt. Railings have been installed on all the bridges and trestles and it has been made into a linear park. You can rent bicycles in Kelowna and ride them up here. Highly recommended.
The extreme fires of the summer of 2003 have burned 12 of these trestles, damaged 2 more. Only 4 remained intact.
