Canadian Pacific at Cisco

The above photos are of the same train at the same location at Cisco. The bridge in the left photo is the CNR bridge as it crosses the Fraser River. The westbound CPR grain train is also just about to cross the Fraser River and then immediately ducks into a tunnel. When CPR built the first transcontinental railroad they chose what was then the easiest way. When the Canadian Northern was built later, there was not enough room on the same side of the river for two railways, so they had to cross over in the same location. This is Mile 101 on the Thompson Sub.
